The mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, stated that yesterday’s progressive rally against blockades showed that the participants want a peaceful and dignified life, and then videos appeared of a fierce fight between two groups of progressives, where fists flew everywhere, there were also knockouts and kicks, most of the citizens ran away while the police watched from the side and waited for the participants of the conflict to get tired. Unpleasant scenes, in the middle of the street, but there are no legal consequences yet.
According to some unconfirmed information, the conflict between the two groups of progressives occurred in a local store, and passions flared up even more on the street. It is not known who hit whom first, but soon the two teams, peaceful and dignified, fought like beasts.
Others, on the other hand, claim that there was no fight between the “peaceful” and the “dignified” students, but that the argument and then the fight was caused by the fact that some received a daily allowance of 3,000 dinars, and others 50 euros.
Be that as it may, the truth should be determined by an investigation, which does not exist. The videos clearly show the participants in the fight, there are also officials and other members of the Serbian Progressive Party, who can easily identify all the bullies. One of the videos also shows the beginning of the fight, when a man in a gray hoodie reaches the young man, pulls him by the shoulder and the fight begins.
Never mind that the police are not at all up to date, they don’t arrest anyone, they don’t throw them to the ground to tie handcuffs, even though the fight is happening before their eyes. It seems that there are no criminal charges against the participants of the rally, because there was no answer to the questions from the editorial staff of Nova.rs whether any investigation is being conducted about the fight in Novi Sad.
