The Mathematical Society of Serbia announced that our country’s national team won nine medals at the International Advanced Tournament in Informatics.
At the 17th International Advanced Tournament in Informatics – IATI, which was held on April 16 and 17, 2026, Serbia was represented by four teams of four members each, the Mathematical Society of Serbia announced.
The Serbian teams were selected based on the students’ success in competitions organized by the Mathematical Society of Serbia. The competition was held online, organized by the city of Burgas (Bulgaria), and the host for Serbia was the School of Computing in Belgrade, which provided all the necessary resources for the successful realization of the competition.

“Our competitors achieved an enviable result in a competition of 439 participants, winning nine medals,” they announced.
The gold medal was won by Stefan Šebez, a student at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade. Silver medals were won by Pavle Damjanović and Petar Banović, students at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade.
Bronze medals were won by Dimitrije Atanasković and Danilo Atanasković, students at the “Svetozar Marković” Grammar School in Niš, Filip Repman, a student at the “Veljko Petrović” Grammar School in Sombor, Nikola Šami and Uroš Nedić, students at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade, as well as Pavle Tomašević, a student at the School of Computing in Belgrade.
Serbia was also represented by Iva Živković, Jelisaveta Srdić, and Anđela Nestorović, students at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade, Marija Minić and Vuk Filipović, students at the “Nada Matić” Elementary School in Užice, Aleksandra Miladinović, a student at the “Veljko Petrović” Grammar School in Sombor, as well as Larisa Ivanović, a student at the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Grammar School in Novi Sad.
The team leaders were Ognjen Tešić from the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, Aleksa Danić from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, as well as Dušan Popadić from the School of Computing in Belgrade.
