The young Serbian women’s U20 national basketball team has qualified for the final of the European Championship after a decisive 79:58 victory over Croatia.

The Serbian team (U20) advanced to the final of the European Championship Division B with a convincing win over Croatia, with a final score of 79:58 (22:18, 25:12, 10:11, 22:17).

Coach Miloš Pavlović’s players dictated the tempo for most of the match, which was played in Miskolc, Hungary. After a relatively close first quarter, the Serbians established a double-digit lead midway through the second quarter, which they continued to extend until the end of the game. Their largest lead of 22 points was reached at the end of the third quarter.

Jovana Jevtović led the team to victory with 23 points (7/10 shooting, 4/5 from three-point range, and 5/5 free throws) and 8 rebounds. Other players scoring in double digits were Ivona Đikanović with 14, Darija Nesterov with 12, and Anđela Janić with 11 points.

The Road to the Final

Before facing Croatia, the Serbian women reached the final with dominant victories over Bulgaria, Albania, and Denmark in the group stage. Their triumph over Albania with an incredible 94-point difference was particularly notable. In the round of 16, they defeated Ukraine 98:57, and in the quarterfinals, they beat Ireland 80:39.

In the final, scheduled for Sunday at 6 PM, Serbia will face the host nation, Hungary, who defeated Bulgaria 67:55 in the other semi-final.
