The 3×3 basketball national team of Serbia won the bronze medal at the World Championship, after defeating the selection of France with a score of 20:19 in a dramatic match for third place.
The “Eagles” played a thriller finish once again, but this time they had more concentration in key moments and reached a victory that brings them a new world medal.
The match opened in the recognizable rhythm of the Serbian team, which quickly reached a 5:3 lead with aggressive play. However, France came back and managed to overturn the result and lead 10:9 in the middle of the game.
In the continuation, a real trench warfare developed, in which the teams alternated in a minimal lead. Serbia made the key run in the finish, when they broke away to 18:16 and then additionally speeded up the rhythm.

Milutinović scored for 19:16, and Nerandžić brought a big 20:17 at 40 seconds to the end, with which Serbia was on the verge of bronze.
However, the French managed to reduce it to 20:19 and bring the match into total drama. A series of misses by the Serbian team in attack followed, including missed chances to definitively resolve the game.
In the end, the hero of Serbia became Milutinović, who stole the ball from the French in the last attack and thus secured the bronze medal.
With this victory, the “Eagles” continued an incredible continuity of winning medals at world championships, confirming the status of one of the most successful 3×3 national teams in the world.
