The Rector of the University of Belgrade, Dr. Vladan Djokic, was on a two-day visit to the Hilandar Monastery.
The Rector spoke with the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Metodije, about the cooperation of the University of Belgrade with one of the most significant monasteries on Mount Athos.
As stated in the post by the University of Belgrade on Instagram, the topic of conversation was also the social situation in Serbia and the pressures faced by the academic community.
“The University of Belgrade has made its professional and scientific capacities available for future cooperation, which we believe will be in the best interest of educational and spiritual progress. Rector Djokic deeply expresses his gratitude for the honor and hospitality shown to him by Archimandrite Metodije. During his visit to the Hilandar Monastery, the rector also signed the guest book,” the University of Belgrade stated.
