During the past night, a twelve-year-old boy from Mladenovac was admitted to the children’s hospital in Belgrade with extremely severe bodily injuries.
According to initial information, the boy is in critical condition, and doctors are fighting for his life after the complete structure of a bus stop fell on him.
“At one point, the boy hung onto the structure of the bus stop. In the next second, the massive structure completely gave way and collapsed directly onto the child,” state eyewitnesses who happened to be at the scene.
The ambulance responded quickly and transported the seriously injured boy to the on-duty children’s clinic in Belgrade.
The police as well as the competent prosecutor’s office have been informed about the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
