The 70th Eurovision Song Contest is being held tonight in Vienna, and our representatives, the group “Lavina” from Niš, had the honor of closing this spectacular evening. They performed under the starting number 15.

Voting is possible through the official Eurovision Song Contest application, as well as by sending SMS messages to the numbers that will be shown during the broadcast.

In addition, the audience can also vote from all countries not participating in the festival, the so-called “rest of the world.” Voting began tonight after midnight, and the complete procedure and conditions are explained on the esc.vote website.

Viewers in countries with a participating broadcaster can vote in the semi-final in which their song is performed, but they cannot vote for their own representative.

How was the song “Kraj mene” created?

The path to the Eurovision stage for the musicians from Niš began with the decision to translate and adapt the song, which was originally part of a new album in English, to the domestic format, because they felt a potential in it that transcends club boundaries.

“The song was actually created in a very short period. Sometimes we have a problem with writing songs; it can drag on, get complicated, go through 150 phases before we reach the final version where we are all satisfied. That was not the case with ‘Kraj mene,’ which somehow came out ‘up the sleeve.’ The song was not intentionally written for PZE, but for our new album that we plan to release this year. It was planned to be in English like the rest of the album, but due to circumstances, we decided to translate it and use it for PZE this year, as we saw great potential in it for such a thing. It, and all the other songs, are a natural continuation of our sound,” said frontman Luka Aranđelović.
