Turkish basketball player Alperen Şengün shared his impressions after Turkey’s triumph over Serbia (95:90).

Şengün was close to a triple-double with 28 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and one, crucial steal in the final moments of the game.

He fought great battles with Nikola Jokić and, according to FIBA, earned a new nickname – instead of “Baby Jokić” you should call him “Daddy Şengün”.

“Jokić has been the best player in the world lately. Playing against him and this victory are important for us. Serbia is a good team, one of the favorites in the tournament. A great victory for us,” said Şengün and added:

“Every game from now on will be difficult. If we lose, we go home. And we don’t want to go home. I hope we will achieve our dreams.”

Turkey will play against Sweden in the round of 16.
