Crvena zvezda basketball players recorded a very, very important victory in the EuroLeague. Within the 36th round of this competition, the Red-and-Whites celebrated at home against Paris with a score of 94:81, thereby taking a very large and very important step toward qualifying for the next phase.
Ugh, Zvezda’s sympathizers and fans certainly needed patience here in this match played in front of a not-so-crowded Belgrade Arena. They had to arm themselves with patience, they had to prepare nerves of steel, because that is what Zvezda has been doing to its fans all season.
It was evident leading up to this duel that the situation was not exactly the brightest in the Red-and-White camp, especially after the loss in the derby, which was not exactly what was needed. That match was very important, the Red-and-Whites slipped up, but now they managed to recover.
Here against Paris, Zvezda had one of three matches of exceptional importance, especially considering they have ASVEL and Real Madrid ahead of them, and every match will be very important as the end of the regular season approaches.

Saša Obradović worked up quite a sweat; in the first period, he managed to lead the team to 34 points, but then they came to a complete halt in the second, as Paris did whatever they wanted on offense. The team from France, led by Nadir Hifi, was a total enigma – the Red-and-Whites did not know what to do with him.
It lasted that way for three full periods, until Zvezda finally managed to play properly and pull away in the last 10 minutes of basketball, when they created the margin by which they ultimately celebrated in this interesting duel, reaching their 20th victory in the EuroLeague, so they now have the same number as Barcelona and Panathinaikos, while they have one more victory than Monaco and Maccabi.
It seems as though Dubai’s victory in Lithuania also jolted the Red-and-Whites a bit in the decisive parts of the match, because the team from the Emirates is someone who poses a serious threat. The most efficient in the Zvezda team was Chima Moneke with 21 points, Ognjen Dobrić added 19, Codi Miller-McIntyre 16 with 14 assists, while Ebuka Izundu finished the match with 13 points. For Paris, the best was Nadir Hifi with 20 points, while Robinson and Rhoden added 20 each.
