The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia strongly denies the false claims that have appeared in certain media outlets and on social networks, referring to the alleged dismissal of a police officer who expressed condolences to Dijana Hrka regarding the tragic loss of her son.
A photo of the police officer, who was on duty, was also published on social media, accompanied by comments claiming that he had been fired.
We emphasize that these allegations are completely untrue and malicious. No disciplinary procedure has been initiated against the mentioned police officer, nor has any measure been taken that would jeopardize his employment status, and he continues to perform his regular duties and tasks.
The spreading of such false information, which seeks to dehumanize the institution, represents an unacceptable attack on truth, the dignity of the service, and the people who work within it. Such continuous fabrications aim to discredit the work and professional conduct of police officers, which the Ministry of Internal Affairs will not allow.
Police officers of the Republic of Serbia perform their duties every day professionally, responsibly, and in accordance with the law, serving the state and all citizens.
We call on citizens and the media to verify information before publishing or sharing it and to refrain from spreading unverified and false claims.
