LITTLE FILIP TAUGHT A LESSON IN HONESTY: He found a stolen phone and returned it to its owner – he refused the reward that followed!

A wonderful example of honesty and responsibility comes from Trstenik, where a boy named Filip Šaširović showed that great human values are learned from an early age.

Filip, who lives with his family in the Kozari neighborhood, found a mobile phone next to a dumpster. There was also a certain amount of money inside the phone case, but the boy did not think for a moment about keeping what he had found for himself.

He took the phone home and then, together with his mother Andrijana, tried to find out who it belonged to. By looking through the photos and other data on the device, they managed to identify the owner, after which Filip personally called him and returned the phone to his home address.

The whole story takes on even greater significance due to the information that the phone had not simply been lost. According to a post by Jasmina Janković on social media, the device had previously been stolen from its owner, so thanks to Filip’s actions, it ultimately made its way back into his hands.

The owner wanted to give the boy a cash reward as a token of gratitude, but Filip refused it.

As stated in the post, the data stored on the phone was far more valuable to the owner than the device itself, the money that had been in the case, or any material value whatsoever.

At a time when there is often talk about the values that the youngest members of society are adopting, the story from Trstenik shows that honesty, responsibility, and a willingness to do the right thing very much still exist.

Filip may have simply returned something that did not belong to him, but through his actions, he taught a lesson far greater than his years.
