KRALJEVO MAYOR POSTS EDITED VIDEO: Targeted Students’ List candidate and her 4-year-old child!

Kraljevo Mayor Predrag Terzićposted a video created with the help of artificial intelligence on his official Facebook account, targeting Jovana Jemović from Raška, a candidate on the Students’ List. The SNS official did not respond to Nova’s questions, while Jemović says that the claims made in the edited video are untrue and that she expected low blows, but did not think her four-year-old child would also be attacked during the campaign. In addition to Terzić, the video was also posted by the President of the Vrnjačka Banja Municipality, Boban Đorđević.

Jovana Jemović is 79th on the Students’ List. She is a graduate technology engineer from Baljevac, in the municipality of Raška, and an activist from Raška.

The attack on Jovana came after her speech at the welcome ceremony for student cyclists, who arrived in Kraljevo on Sunday evening as part of the “Guardians of the Constitution” action.

The very next day, Kraljevo Mayor Predrag Terzić posted a video containing insults directed at Jovana, as well as references to her private life.

Nova.rs contacted Predrag Terzić to ask him who authored the video, whether he believes that he was targeting Jemović in this way, and whether he considers it appropriate for someone holding his office to post such content on social media.

He did not respond to calls, messages or questions sent by email.

In addition to Terzić, the video was also posted by the President of the Vrnjačka Banja Municipality, Boban Đorđević. Đorđević also did not respond to Nova’s questions.

Đorđević is also remembered by many after President Aleksandar Vučić criticized him for visiting Croatia and told him, “your pictures from Dubrovnik are disgusting.”

In a conversation with Nova, Jovana Jemović revealed how she felt after becoming the target of the aforementioned officials and added that in Kraljevo, at the welcome ceremony for the cyclists, she spoke as a representative of the “Students Win” students’ list.

“That was my first appearance as a representative of the students and the people. So, I was not representing myself, but my students and my people. Then yesterday morning, Monday, I received countless calls from my friends telling me that an edited video had been posted on the official Facebook profile of the mayor of Kraljevo, in which I was the main subject,” Jovana told Nova, adding:

“I did not feel threatened, but it is certainly unpleasant, because I live in a small town where everyone knows each other, and therefore it causes a certain amount of concern. But above all because of my family and my minor child. I do not feel humiliated or discredited at all because of their edited video, because the claims made in it are untrue, and lawsuits have been filed because of that, while I am ready to defend my truth in the institution designated for that, which is the court.”

Jemović stressed that she expected low blows because, as she says, when there are no arguments, the dirtiest campaign is waged.

“Then they simply do not choose methods to put representatives on the pillar of shame. Unfortunately, I did not expect my four-year-old child to be attacked in that campaign,” Nova’s interviewee emphasized.

She stressed that she is absolutely continuing the fight with the students.

“There is no giving up, because they cannot do anything at all to those of us who live outside the small-minded mentality. And it would be decent for them to understand that once and for all and in time,” concluded Jovana Jemović, a candidate on the Students’ List.

Criminal complaint filed against Terzić

Jovana Jemović’s lawyer, Ivan Ninić, filed a criminal complaint against the mayor of Kraljevo over the video which, as he claims, insults and damages the reputation of Jemović, a Students’ List candidate from Raška, Jemović confirmed to Nova.

Ninić also announced a lawsuit seeking compensation for damages before the Basic Court in Kraljevo and assessed that publishing the video represents an attack not only on Jemović but also on other women who decide to become politically engaged.

He assessed that it is unacceptable for the mayor of a city to use social media to publish content that insults and compromises a candidate in parliamentary elections.

Ninić also said that, in his view, this is not the first case in which Terzić has insulted women and citizens of Kraljevo through his public appearances. In that context, he mentioned the family of Ivan Matović and other citizens who, he claims, had previously been subjected to public attacks.

Kraljevo mayor known for slips of the tongue and insulting opponents

Predrag Terzić is also a man who has stood out for insulting and targeting those who disagree with him. He is also known for slips of the tongue, so for Terzić, “zoohygiene” becomes “zohijena,” while “airport” becomes “aerodrum.”

On his official social media profiles, he posted photos with his red middle finger raised, while he called students Ustaše.

Fellow citizens have thrown eggs at Terzić on several occasions.
