SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated today in Banja Luka that his planned visit to the United States of America is in question due to the difficult health condition of his mother.
“A difficult situation is happening in my family at this moment; my mother is hospitalized at the University Clinical Center. She is in a coma. If she does not survive, I will not go to the USA at all,” Dodik told reporters, as reported by Banja Luka media.
He added that he had been looking forward to going to America, where he was supposed to receive an award at the University of Chicago, but he also stated that, as he claims, Bosniak representatives requested to be allowed to protest in front of that institution.
“I have been convicted for not respecting Christian Schmidt, a descendant of fascists who imposes his will here, and the Muslims support that. Then they tell us ‘we want to live with you.’ They do, but under their conditions, and I am not in favor of us living under their conditions,” Dodik stated.
He emphasized that everything he does is so that Republika Srpska can decide for itself.
“I am convinced in Republika Srpska, because for us it is the only framework in which there is freedom. If Republika Srpska disappears or if its competencies are significantly reduced, there will be no Serbs in these areas, and that is clear to me,” Dodik said.
He added that he would like to travel to Chicago and that, as he says, he would “first show three fingers” to those protesting his visit.
