Part of the road near the Center of Excellence complex in Kragujevac collapsed this morning, the portal Glas Šumadije reported.
In the photos and videos published by the site, the moment the part of the access road and the retaining walls collapsed can be seen.
Glas Šumadije writes that this is not the first time this has happened, also indicating that the stability of the terrain in that area is compromised.
It is stated that the collapses are increasingly frequent, and the stability of the terrain is still compromised, which is causing dissatisfaction and concern among citizens.
The Center of Excellence is a science complex of the University of Kragujevac, the construction of which began in 2015.
The plan was for the works to be finished by the end of 2017, but the contractor went bankrupt, local media state.
During 2023, government representatives said that the construction was in the final phase.
