The Government of Slovenia at today’s session declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu undesirable and banned his entry into the country.

The State Secretary in the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nevenka Grašić, recalled that Slovenia had taken the same measure against ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, who were declared personae non gratae in July.

-The public is aware that proceedings are being conducted against him for the commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Among other things, the International Court of Justice on July 19, 2024, determined that several Israeli policies and practices violate both international humanitarian law and human rights – stated Grašić.

She added that with this decision, the Government is sending a clear message to Netanyahu that Slovenia expects consistent respect for the decisions of international courts and international humanitarian law, reported the Slovenian media.
