Nikola Topić is returning to the NBA! Journalist Andrew Schlecht, who closely follows developments at the Oklahoma City Thunder, tweeted on Sunday:

This means that the young playmaker of the Serbian national team will be available to coach Mark Daigneault in the decisive battles for the top of the Western Conference standings before the start of the playoffs.
The current champions started the ongoing season forcefully, but then fell in terms of results and in the finish of the regular season the San Antonio Spurs are “breathing down their necks.” The Thunder are at a 58-16 score, while San Antonio is at 56-18.
During his period spent with the Blue, Topić played very well and averaged 18.4 points (as much as 46.5% shooting for three points) and 7.8 assists per game, and the day before yesterday he recorded his first career double-double, having 20 points and 10 assists against Iowa!
Topić, the former playmaker of Mega, OKK Belgrade, and Red Star, had a surgical procedure before the start of the regular season, and was then treated with chemotherapy due to testicular cancer.
