At Marko Perković Thompson’s concert in Zagreb tonight, a major controversy was sparked by the T-shirt the singer wore on stage. The black T-shirt prominently displayed the number 03941158, which represents the prison number of Zvonko Bušić, known for his Ustaše activities and terrorist acts.

Zvonko Bušić’s Criminal History
Zvonko Bušić spent 32 years in an American prison for planting a bomb at a New York railway station and hijacking a passenger plane, from which he dropped leaflets aimed at highlighting, as he claimed, the poor position of Croatia in the former Yugoslavia. During that operation, he and his accomplices hijacked a TWA flight with 92 passengers, which was flying from LaGuardia Airport in New York to Chicago. After crossing the Atlantic, the plane landed in Iceland, then continued its journey via London to Paris, where the hijackers dropped propaganda leaflets before surrendering to the police.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the hijacking and the death of police officers during an attempt to deactivate a bomb. His wife, Julienne Eden Bušić, and several other accomplices were also sentenced to prison terms, although they were later pardoned.
Wearing a T-shirt with such a symbol at the concert caused numerous negative reactions and a significant uproar, as it symbolizes the glorification of an individual convicted of terrorist actions and associated with the Ustaše movement.
