DUE TO SPEED HE LOST CONTROL: Vehicle of the so-called Kosovo government caused an accident in Kosovska Mitrovica, driven by former Serbian minister!

An official vehicle of the Kosovo government was involved in a traffic accident that occurred this weekend in North Mitrovica. KoSSev has learned that the vehicle was being driven by former acting Minister for Communities and Return Nenad Vukmirović.

KoSSev writes that the Kosovo Police did not want to confirm the identity of the driver or that the vehicle belonged to the Kosovo government, but the details they provided — the initials, year of birth, and other circumstances of the incident — match the information obtained by KoSSev.

As confirmed to KoSSev by the Regional Police Directorate North, the traffic accident occurred on July 25 at around 4:40 a.m. on Knez Miloš Street in North Mitrovica (listed in the police statement as Isa Boletini Street).

According to the police information, the accident involved a white Suzuki official vehicle with Kosovo government registration plates.

According to the preliminary investigation, the media outlet adds, the accident occurred when the driver, traveling along Knez Miloš Street toward the Technical School, lost control of the vehicle due to speed not adjusted to road conditions, after which he struck protective bollards next to the roadway.

Material damage was caused in the crash, but there were no injuries, police confirmed to the outlet. The police stated that the case remains under further investigation.

KoSSev attempted to obtain a comment from Vukmirović himself, but he did not answer their call or respond to the message sent to him.

Vukmirović was appointed acting Minister for Communities and Return at the end of last year after then-Minister Nenad Rašić was elected Vice President of the Assembly of Kosovo. Several months later, Rašić was reappointed Minister for Communities and Return, while Vukmirović had previously also served as deputy minister.
