The Serbian volleyball players, two-time consecutive world champions, have qualified for the round of 16 of the World Championship, but the main news was the injury of Tijana Bošković.
A day after the entire situation, new information arrived regarding her health.
A complete diagnosis was made to determine the degree of injury of the best volleyball player on the planet (MVP of the two previous world championships), and the team’s doctor spoke about everything.
Doctor Dejan Aleksandrić explained the new information in detail.
“Tijana suffered a sprain (distortion) of the right ankle. Additional diagnostics were performed, where the existence of a bone fracture was ruled out and a ligament sprain was found. She has been included in the rehabilitation process and physical therapy has been started. It is thankless to make predictions about how long the recovery will last, but it is certain that we will try to prepare her for the quarterfinal match. Still, it is difficult to say anything for sure,” emphasized Dr. Dejan Aleksandrić, the doctor of the Serbian seniors.
In the last round on Wednesday at 12:00, Serbia plays against Japan in the fight for first place in the group, and then on Friday, it will play against Thailand or the Netherlands.
