For many basketball fans, the NBA league only becomes interesting with the start of the playoffs, or rather the play-in in the last few years, and there is no better confirmation of that than what we watched tonight!

Two fantastic, uncertain games, one overtime, and two teams that continue the competition.

The first is Portland, which, thanks to a great performance by Deni Avdija, defeated Phoenix away with a score of 114:110 and secured 7th place in the playoffs, where the powerful San Antonio awaits them.

But after tonight’s performance by the son of the legendary Yugoslav national team player Zufer Avdija and the boys led by last season’s best NBA “coach” Tiago Splitter, they certainly won’t be sleeping peacefully in Texas.

But let’s get back to Avdija junior, who scored 41 points with an excellent shooting performance (15-22), distributed 12 assists, and had 7 rebounds. When it mattered most, in the last two attacks, Deni took the ball into his hands and finished the job, the second time with a foul and a +1!

Veteran Jrue Holiday was also excellent (21p), as was Grant (16), who hit two important three-pointers in the finish.

In the second, actually the first game of the evening, Charlotte defeated Miami in North Carolina after overtime and true drama (127:126), and the victory for the Hornets was brought by LaMelo Ball 7 seconds before the end.

One of the famous basketball brothers dominated with a total of 30 points (10ast, 5reb), and he was supported by Bridges with 28 (9reb) and Miller with 23.

For the defeated Heat, Mitchell was excellent (28p, 6ast, 4reb), and good performances were provided by Wiggins with 27 (7reb, 3ast), Herro (23p, 6ast), and Ware (12p, 19reb), who entered the game after a serious injury to Adebayo. Nikola Jović was not in the lineup due to injury.

Miami goes to sunbathe until next season, and Charlotte goes to visit the loser of the duel between Orlando and Philadelphia, which is played tomorrow, as well as the Golden State – LA Clippers game.

The NBA postseason has begun in great style. We hope for an even better continuation…
