One of the most anticipated events in MMA history has finally released the fight schedule. UFC White House is confirmed for June 14, where Donald Trump’s 80th birthday will be celebrated, as well as the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
The event features five former and current champions, but not the fighters the public has most eagerly awaited, such as Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. Regardless, independent of the scheduled fights, a major spectacle is expected from UFC White House — which you will be able to watch exclusively on the TV Arena Fight channel!
The main fight of the evening will be for the unification of the lightweight belt (up to 77 kilograms) between Justin Gaethje (interim champion) and Ilia Topuria (current champion). Before them, Alex Pereira will step into the octagon for something never seen before — facing a fighter who has won belts in three different weight classes. The Brazilian, possibly the organization’s “greatest killer,” will clash with Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight belt.
There is no doubt that the absence of the two stars everyone wanted to see back in the ring will be felt. Jones was certainly expected to step in to fight Alex Pereira, while Michael Chandler has been waiting for a fight with McGregor for several years, which will not happen this time either. The American is also at the event, and interestingly, none of the main fights feature a female competitor.
