The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Serbia’s Statehood Day.

In his message to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, he stated that the relations between Serbia and Russia are “based on traditions of friendship, cultural and spiritual closeness.”

“Relations between our countries are based on traditions of friendship, cultural and spiritual closeness, which have been tested by time. I am convinced that regardless of the difficult international conditions, the Russian-Serbian strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres will continue to progressively strengthen,” states Putin’s congratulatory message.

He wished Vučić health and success, and the citizens of Serbia happiness and prosperity.
