A fight on hockey rinks is nothing new, but for two goalkeepers to actually fight, well, we have truly never seen that. Exactly that happened on the night between Monday and Tuesday in the strongest hockey league, the NHL.

The Florida Panthers were defeated at home by the San Jose Sharks 4:1, the goalkeeper of Serbian origin Alex Nedeljkovic rejoiced, but he previously had to warm up his hands well, though not in the way he expected.

In the third period, an incident occurred during which he approached to help his teammates during a fight, and after a short participation in it, the opposing goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky charged, threw his stick, and began to “punch” Nedeljkovic.

The fight did not last long, Nedeljkovic also tried to avoid it, but in the end, he waited for the moment and knocked the Russian netminder to the ice. The whole situation sparked much sympathy in the stands, and the Serb managed to knock down the Russian in the end.

Alex Nedeljkovic is a guy born in Ohio, he is 30 years old and during his career, he played for the Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

His grandmother and grandfather are originally from a village near Ljubovija, and the goalkeeper himself does not forget his roots and wears the Serbian coat of arms on the back of his mask.
