A six-month-old baby and a man were killed, while a woman was injured in a serious traffic accident that occurred last night, around one o’clock after midnight, on the “Miloš Veliki” highway in the direction of Čačak, on the section of the bridge over the Sava River, in the territory of the Surčin–Obrenovac municipality, the police told RTS.
The accident occurred in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a bus, RTS has learned.
Dr. Danijela Jeftić from the Emergency Medical Service told RTS that the teams at the scene could only confirm the child’s death, while a 23-year-old woman with serious injuries was transported to the Emergency Center, and the man was transported by the Obrenovac Emergency Medical Service.
After traffic was restored, around four o’clock another traffic accident occurred on the same stretch of road, a kilometer and a half before the site of the first accident, involving six vehicles. Two people were injured in this incident and transported to the Emergency Center.
