Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best football players of all time, spoke highly of Novak Đoković, who is an inspiration to him.
The Portuguese was a guest on the show hosted by Piers Morgan, the well-known and controversial British journalist, with whom he had previously recorded a podcast that caused a storm in England, as Ronaldo criticized Manchester United at the time, while still being with the club.
Now, Cristiano, in addition to many interesting topics, spoke about which athletes are a great example of persistence, consistency for him and whom younger generations should look up to. Among those mentioned were Đoković, as well as LeBron James, Luka Modrić…
Ronaldo pointed out that he motivates himself, that he does not need anyone else for that, but that there are athletes whom others can and should look up to.

“Đoković from tennis,” said Ronaldo, and then Morgan took the word.
“Novak was here (in Saudi Arabia) for the ‘Six Kings’ tournament. He said you are one of his role models. He says he wants to continue playing into his forties, like you. Sinner and Alcaraz are the new young forces, and when asked if he plans to retire, he said: ‘I want to prove to myself that I still can’. He cited you (Ronaldo) as an example. You inspire him. It must be a good feeling to inspire the best tennis player in history?”.
Cristiano then reacted to what he heard.
🗣️ Cristiano Ronaldo: “Athletes that inspire me? Myself. LeBron James, I think we are the same age, but I have more hair than him.

“It’s great when people from other sports speak well of you. It means a lot to me. Novak is a true example of greatness in sport. I am happy for his words,” emphasized the Portuguese footballer.
As a reminder, Đoković and Ronaldo recently socialized in Riyadh, where they were photographed having a drink, and exchanged gifts.
Novak is currently 38 years old and is fighting for his 101st career title in Athens, while Cristiano is 40 years old and has been playing for Al Nassr for several seasons.
