“I hope to be free again and to be among all of you,” said student Luka Stevanović from Kragujevac, in front of whose house citizens gathered to show their support, as he was placed under house arrest and is suspected of subverting the constitutional order.

Citizens of Kragujevac gathered tonight in support of the detained student Luka Stevanović at a protest under the slogan “We are all leaders”.

They came to his house where they gave him books and messages of support, which among other things read “I am a leader”.

“It’s a strange feeling. I can’t believe that I’ve reached the point where I can’t leave the house. I hope that will change soon and that I will be free again and that I will be among all of you,” Luka Stojanović, who had previously addressed the gathered people of Kragujevac, told N1.

He addressed them from the doorstep of his house, and in a statement for N1 he said that he has a message for everyone – “Pump it”.

The gathered citizens responded with the same message, and then they chanted – “Whoever doesn’t jump, is a bad guy”.

Luka Stevanović has filed an appeal against the decision to place him under house arrest, on which a decision should be made soon.
