Students in the blockade of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade announced that on Friday, August 1, they will organize a commemorative walk in Belgrade on the occasion of nine months since the collapse of the canopy of the railway station in Novi Sad, in which 16 people died.
“The gathering is near the Old Railway Station, then a silent walk will begin towards the Belgrade Center Railway Station – Prokop,” the FDU students wrote on Instagram.
The commemorative walk, under the slogan “Nine months, we remember,” will start at 7 p.m.

Novi Sad students and citizens’ assemblies will mark nine months since the collapse of the Railway Station canopy, which killed 16 people and seriously injured one, on Friday, August 1, writes the 021 portal.
The gathering will start at 8 p.m. on the campus of the University of Novi Sad, where the “Zone of Freedom” was recently opened.
The program will start at 8 p.m. with a student speech, followed by the performance “Jedan/One”.
At 8:50 p.m., the musical part will begin, during which Pavle Dobić, Anđela Spasić, and Igor Glavišić will perform compositions on the piano.
The guitar duo – Ivan Ostojić and Sale Banjac – will also perform.
At 10:15 p.m., the actor Milan Kovačević was announced, and at 10:30 p.m., the gathered people will start walking towards the railway station.
Student protest in Niš
Students in the blockade of the Niš University announced that on Friday, August 1, they will organize a new student protest to mark nine months since the canopy collapse in Novi Sad.
The gathering is at the intersection near the Basic Court at 7:30 p.m., after which a protest walk will be organized to the main railway station where 16 minutes of silence and a student performance will be held in memory of the 16 innocent victims.

“Come and show that we have not forgotten and that we are not giving up on the fight for justice,” the students in the blockade stated in the announcement.
The protest will be organized under the title “Nine months, 16 victims, zero responsible”.
