At least 12 people were killed and dozens wounded when Israeli forces opened fire near a food distribution center in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, local health officials announced.
The incident occurred near a humanitarian organization GHF site, where people had gathered to try and receive basic necessities, Al Jazeera reported. According to estimates, since the end of May, approximately 900 people waiting for aid have died under similar circumstances, most of them near food distribution points, Tanjug reports.
