The Criminal Police Directorate arrested 13 people today on suspicion that through various criminal acts they obtained property gain for the company BSP D.O. Feketić, damaging the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves and the creditors of the joint-stock company Makovica from Mladenovac for over 2 million euros. The suspects are charged with fraud in the conduct of private business.
“The Criminal Police Directorate arrested 13 people today on suspicion that by committing various criminal acts they obtained illegal property gain for the company BSP, D.O. Feketić in the amount of over 2 million euros, in which amount they damaged the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves and the acquired creditors of the joint-stock company Makovica from Mladinovac. An investigation will be conducted against the suspects on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of fraud in the performance of private affairs,” said Nenad Stefanović.
Action against corruption continues
In the continuation of the large-scale action to combat corruption, by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, members of the UKP are conducting searches in dozens of facilities at locations in Belgrade, Feketić and Mladenovac, as well as in the company owned by one of the largest Vojvodina tycoons, Vladimir Vrbaški.
Within this action, a larger number of people are also being arrested for various abuses.

Arrest in the Ministry of Labor
As a reminder, yesterday in the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Social and Veterans Affairs, several ministry officials were arrested in the continuation of a large-scale action to combat corruption.
According to unofficial information, the police, by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, arrested inspectors who, by abusing their authority, enabled the “Ivanović” nursing home in Barajevo to operate and extend its work permit, even though it did not meet the prescribed conditions for this.
Arrest at the Faculty of Applied Sciences in Niš
Also, the police in Niš during the day, by order of the Special Department for the Suppression of Corruption, at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Niš, today brought D.N., M.N., D.L. and V.L. to that prosecutor’s office on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of money laundering, while the suspect D.N. is also charged with the criminal offense of abuse of trust in the performance of economic activity.

Milorad Grčić, former director of EPS and current president of the Obrenovac municipality, who were arrested on Wednesday in a major action of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade and the police in the fight against corruption, were brought yesterday to the hearing in the Belgrade Palace of Justice. As a reminder, yesterday in the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Social and Veterans Affairs, several ministry officials were arrested in the continuation of a major action to combat corruption.
