Members of the Ministry of Interior today entered the premises of the student list in Aranđelovac, and student Mihajlo Milovanović told N1 that the officers were rough during the intervention and stayed with them until a person of “high priority” had passed.
Members of the police entered the premises of the student list in Aranđelovac this afternoon, and student Mihajlo Milovanović who was present at the event told N1 that the members of the Ministry of Interior were quite rough.
“At two in the afternoon two or more officers of the Ministry of Interior entered who had the urge to rush into the premises, where they suddenly began banging on the door and demanding access to the premises. When we opened the door to them they immediately began acting roughly and demanded that we leave the room, after which we immediately asked for the nearest lawyer who could come and conduct a discussion with them,” said Milovanović.
The student from Aranđelovac says that after a discussion with their lawyer, the members of the Ministry of Interior relented and allowed the students to remain in the premises, but on the condition that two of their officers stay with them.
“We of course had to accept such a position and we had two officers who stood at the door for the next hour, hour and a half until a person of high priority, as they say, passed through that street and went further, I think toward the municipality,” student Milovanović explained to N1.
He also explained that it is not clear to him how they, only with “papers and laptops”, could have been a threat to any official.
“When we asked them for explanations about that, they only told us that they were just doing their job, but that is just a narrative,” the N1 interlocutor said.
Let us recall, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić is visiting Aranđelovac, one of 10 places in Serbia where local elections will be held on March 29.
