Serbia’s national team won four medals at the 8th Balkan Physics Olympiad, held from June 27 to 30 in Istanbul and organized by the Turkish Physical Society.
Serbia was represented by a four-member team consisting of Leo Ramon Šer from Paraćin, Nemanja Maslak from Kragujevac, and Damjan Tropin and Konstantin Stojilković, both students of the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade.
Konstantin Stojilković won the gold medal, while Nemanja Maslak and Leo Ramon Šer each earned silver medals. Damjan Tropin claimed the bronze medal.
The Serbian team was led by Professor Dr. Imre Gut and Dragica Ivković, while Professor Dr. Vladimir Marković attended the Olympiad as a guest.
The Balkan Physics Olympiad brings together high school students from countries across the region to compete in solving challenging theoretical and experimental physics problems.
