STUDENTS OF THE FIFTH BELGRADE GYMNASIUM SAID: „Until our demands are met, we will not move from here“ (VIDEO)

Students of the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium decided to start a physical blockade of this school, and their parents and citizens also gathered at the Fifth. „We are in a physical blockade in front of the school until our demands are met,“ said Dragana, a student of the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium, adding that there is also a group of students inside the school.

She emphasized that the demands of the students of this gymnasium are: that the acting principal Danka Nešović submit an irrevocable resignation from the position of principal, that a new principal be selected from the ranks of the professors of the Fifth Gymnasium, that the school board, which has not been convened since September, be convened and formed, and that all suspended or dismissed professors be returned to their workplaces.

„Until those demands are met, we will not move from here,“ she pointed out.

She added that „the professor who is the president of the school board wanted to convene the school board, which must be convened by law, and was suspended for it.“

„We will not give up our professors and our school, because people who are incompetent to teach there have come to replace our dismissed professors,“ she said.

The student emphasized that they will not respond to violence and will stand in front of the school.
