Nikola Ćirković has been banned from the sport for life, FIBA announced. He has been suspended for match-fixing.
Nikola Ćirković (born June 2, 1997) has been suspended for life for “manipulating (fixing) matches, betting on basketball competitions, and failing to report obligations,” according to FIBA’s explanation.
He is banned from participating in all FIBA competitions and even in activities that have any connection to basketball.

During his career, he played for Zemun, where he started and played in the “Next gen” tournament, averaging 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. Over the years, he played in Spain, Dinamika, Vršac, Napredak, Sloboda, and Bratunac.
Unfortunately, he is not the first basketball player from Serbia to be banned from the sport this year. Earlier this year, Miroslav Pašajlić received the same penalty in June, and in March, the same measure was imposed on Marko Radonjić.
In 2023, Saša Avramović was banned from basketball.
