SERBIAN OBILIĆS DOMINATE: Our young boxers and female boxers return from Spain with 10 medals!

Serbia’s young boxers and female boxers won as many as 10 medals at the international “Boxam” tournament in Spain. The Serbian national team finished the competition with four golds, three silvers and three bronzes, competing against 246 participants from 21 countries.

Mia Kerošević in the U15 category up to 44 kilograms and Andrija Trajković in the U17 category up to 80 kilograms won gold medals after recording two victories each. Ognjen Staletović was the best in the U17 category up to 52 kilograms, reaching first place with three wins. Among the gold medal winners was also Mia Topić in the U15 category up to 60 kilograms, who, in addition to taking first place, was named the best female boxer of the tournament in her age group.

The silver medals went to Nina Damjanović in the U15 category up to 48 kilograms, Ostoja Drulović in the U15 category up to 40 kilograms, and Todor Lučić in the U17 category up to 57 kilograms. Anabeli Todorović in the U15 category up to 48 kilograms, Dušan Nekić in the U17 category up to 66 kilograms, and Lazar Jovanović in the U15 category up to 52 kilograms won bronze medals.

Young boxers and female boxers from Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Iceland, Kuwait, Latvia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Venezuela took part in the tournament. The Serbian team was led by Igor Rogić, head coach of the younger men’s categories, while the women’s national team was led by Stefan Prodanović, coach of BK Obilić from Zvornik.
