Students in blockade have sent a message to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, from their official Instagram profile.

In their post, they stated that the results of the, as they claim, stolen elections showed that in Zaječar in 2021, the SNS list, together with the list of SNS MP Nenad Ristović, won 71.27 percent of the votes, while together with the SPS list, it won almost 80 percent, or 79.87 percent.

“In the elections on June 8, the coalition around SNS won 47.13 percent of the votes, the SPS list 3 percent, while Nenad Ristović’s list won 2.5 percent, totaling 52.6 percent, 27 percent less compared to the result four years ago,” the post states.

They add that a similar result was seen in Kosjerić.

“In Kosjerić, in the local elections in 2021, the list around SNS won 68.78 percent of the votes, Zdrava Srbija of Milan Stamatović 9.65 percent, and SRS 0.7 percent of the votes, totaling 79.13%. The joint list of these three parties won almost 30% less, or 49.23%. Despite all the pressures, blackmail, intimidation, threats, and bribery, the citizens of Kosjerić and Zaječar clearly told the regime on Sunday: your time is up,” the statement reads.

On the other hand, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated when he will call elections.

“Elections will be either at the end of next year or at the beginning of 2027. We had elections a year ago and now we have many preparations for Expo 2027. We need to do a lot of work, also on our European path. The people will then decide who will govern the country,” Vučić said at the panel “Seizing the Moment: Building Lasting Partnerships in the (EU) Neighborhood.”
