Three members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, who set out on October 4 on a 765-kilometer pilgrimage to raise money for “butterfly children” through bank transfers or SMS donations, have arrived at Hilandar.
Vladimir Penezić, Strahinja Bjelić, and Marko Marinković reached the Nemanjić endowment on Mount Athos, the Hilandar Monastery, after a full 20 days of walking.
“Our pilgrimage by foot has come to an end — we have covered about 765 kilometers. This marks the end of our walking journey, but the campaign itself continues. Donations can still be made via bank account or by sending an SMS with the number 1 to 3808, and all the attention and support we’ve received so far should continue so we can keep helping the children,” said Marko Marinković, a member of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit.
The MUP officers sent their greetings to their families, friends, and colleagues they met along the way.
