Milorad „Mića“ Trifunović (57) passed away on November 22nd during a direct Air Serbia flight from Chicago to Belgrade.

Milorad „Mića“ Trifunović (57) passed away during a direct Chicago – Belgrade flight, and the sad news was shared by his wife on the social network „Facebook“ in the group „Serbs in Chicago“.

Namely, the tragedy occurred on an Air Serbia flight on November 22nd, departing at 5:30 AM, and Milorad was supposed to stay in Serbia for five days and then return to Chicago, but unfortunately, he passed away while the Air Serbia aircraft was over Canada.

Family is searching for this man

She revealed that Aleksandar Jovanović sat next to Milorad on the flight, who came to his aid and was by his side in those difficult moments, but the family has no further information about that man.

– Unfortunately, this is everything we currently know about him. We received the information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Serbia. If Aleksandar Jovanović is a member of this group, or if anyone knows him, I would be immensely grateful if they could contact us. Also, if anyone was on that flight, or knows someone who was on that flight and would be willing to talk to us, please contact us. In these extremely difficult and painful moments, we are still trying to understand exactly what happened – the wife pointed out.

„The situation was traumatic“

She added that people told her the situation was extremely traumatic for the passengers on the flight.

– We understand how difficult that was. We received very little information and are just trying to find out exactly what happened. If anyone has any information, please contact us privately or in a comment – the inconsolable woman emphasizes.

As a reminder, at the end of November, media outlets reported that a passenger from North Macedonia passed away on a Chicago – Belgrade flight.

His wife, however, revealed that Milorad was originally from Serbia, but that he had taken Macedonian citizenship due to his marriage to her.
