A member of the association, a war veteran who participated in the battles in Kosovo and Metohija in 1999, recently came to the premises of the “Heart of a Hero” Movement.
As stated by the association, he silently shared his personal and poignant story about the war and the loss of his closest comrade and friend who perished in the fight against Shiptar terrorists.
He does not stop thinking about his fallen comrade
“His friend died in his immediate vicinity and even after 27 years, he cannot stop thinking about that event and his death; for 27 years he has been constantly going to his grave and paying his respects,” states the Facebook page “Heart of a Hero Movement.”
Today, this veteran lives modestly and works as a pizza chef, supporting himself and his family. As he stated, he did not want any personal gain or media attention, but only asked that the memory of his fallen friend be published.
