The “Trepča South” company has asked users of at least three buildings in the center of [Zvečan] to vacate them. Written notices in Albanian were posted today on the doors of the allegedly disputed properties.
According to the contents of the posted notices, the deadline for vacating the properties is ten days.
One of the eviction orders was posted on a residential building that once housed a Serbian post office and now houses the Pristina-run post office, while another notice was posted on the premises where the Serbian state pharmacy is located.
The third notice is at the entrance to a nearby residential building.
The document, dated August 12, states that it is a “call to vacate/release the property without delay.”
“At the same time, we inform you that the deadline for vacating the premises is 10 days, counting from the date of receipt of this notice,” the request, written only in Albanian, states.
It adds that if the request is not complied with, “appropriate legal measures” will be taken, including contacting the competent authorities to vacate the property and return it to the possession or ownership of “Trepča.”
The company also states that if the users of the premises possess official documentation proving that the property in question is not owned by “Trepča,” they must submit it within the specified deadline, no later than August 22.
For now, it is not known whether the “request to vacate” also applies to the residential part of the building.
According to an inspection of the notices, they concern only the commercial premises located on the ground floors of these buildings.
