The Serbian national basketball team ingloriously finished the Eurobasket in the round of 16 after a defeat by Finland and thus booked tickets for their return home much earlier instead of a gold medal. Germany is the champion in the end, Turkey is the runner-up, while the selection of Greece won the third place with a victory in the battle for the bronze against the Finns.
Now that everything is over, FIBA has published the ranking of the national teams, and since 2007 and the 14th place, Serbia has not had a worse ranking in the Eurobasket. The teams are ranked according to their performance, so the Eagles were given the 10th position.
As for individual awards, the Serbian center Nikola Jokić could not be part of the ideal five, which consists of Dennis Schröder, Luka Dončić, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Franz Wagner and Alperen Şengün, but he is part of the second five.

Besides him, the team also includes Cedi Osman from Turkey, Lauri Markkanen from Finland, Jordan Loyd who represented Poland, and Deni Avdija who played for Israel.
Jokić finished the European championship with an average of 22.3 points, nine rebounds and 4.2 assists. When Bogdan Bogdanović got injured, he took all the responsibility and showed how great a player he actually is.
