The Mavericks had a 18-point lead with four minutes left in the third quarter, but then the Nuggets machine started to grind. With a 10-2 run, Mike Malone’s team reduced the deficit to ten points before the final quarter (89:79), and then with a 12-0 run at the beginning of the fourth quarter, they evened the score at 91:91.
