The day of local elections in ten municipalities in Serbia is approaching. Citizens will vote on March 29, and the situation is heated everywhere, especially in Kula. Namely, as announced on social media, on the list of support from doctors for the local SNS list in Kula, two signatures appeared that do not belong to the listed signatories.

Entering the electoral race are – Aranđelovac, Bajina Bašta, Bor, Kladovo, Knjaževac, Kula, Lučani, Majdanpek, Sevojno and Smederevska Palanka.

In Kula, the list Glas mladih za opštinu Kula is backed by students, while a phantom list Mladi za Kulu has also appeared, whose holder was photographed at an SNS gathering.

That the Progressives are fighting in every way not to lose in the upcoming local elections is also shown by the fact that they misused the name of Stana Strugar by falsifying her signature, which allegedly gave support to the Serbian Progressive Party.

Strugar is otherwise a long-time member of the Democratic Party in Kula.

Regarding this misuse, Strugar herself spoke out, publishing a photo showing her alleged signature of support and wrote:

“I do not support the list of Aleksandar Vučić. On the contrary, I support the student list as a long-time member of the Democratic Party. I call on all citizens to vote for number 3!”, she wrote.

As announced by the students of PMF in blockade, in addition to Strugar, the Progressives also falsified the signature of support of Dr. Bojan Đurica.

On that occasion, the Assembly of Medical Workers of Sombor also issued a statement. They stated that Dr. Đurica’s signature was forged on the list of support for SNS in Kula.

“It is our duty to point out a post circulating on social media – a list of support from doctors for the local SNS list in the municipal elections on March 29 in Kula. Firmly defending the position that every citizen has the right to political affiliation, we could not shake the impression of doubt regarding the authenticity of all signatures. Our fears have, unfortunately, come true. Our colleague, a specialist in surgery, Dr. Bojan Đurica, firmly denies being a signatory of such a support list. There will be more to say about the way his signature was obtained without his knowledge and consent, and one of the sources for clarification may also be the Criminal Code,” the statement of the Assembly of Medical Workers of Sombor reads, among other things.

At the local elections in Kula on March 29, at 40 polling stations, in addition to members of the polling boards, there will be at least 1,600 observers, the Novi Sad portal Razglas News reported.

With that number of registered observers, the portal states, Kula is a place where an average of around 40 people is expected at and around each polling station, which is more than ever before in that municipality, but also compared to other places where local elections are being held on March 29.
