At least 84 Palestinians, more than 50 of whom are children, were killed in two brutal massacres targeting Palestinian homes in northern Gaza, which has been under tight siege by the Israeli army for about a month.

A statement from the Government Media Office in Gaza reported that the Israeli army bombed the buildings of the Shelejili Al-Gandur families in northern Gaza, where 170 civilians were present.

“In the two brutal massacres committed by the occupying Israeli army, 84 lives were lost, including over 50 children, and dozens more were lost and injured under the rubble,” the statement said.

It was emphasized that “Israel has committed genocide in Gaza” and that the Israeli army targeted buildings where civilians and displaced Palestinians had taken refuge.

The statement noted that medical and civil protection teams were unable to fulfill their duties because they were targeted in northern Gaza, where the Israeli army has maintained a tight siege for about a month.

The statement also indicated that the Israeli army has devastated the healthcare system in northern Gaza, targeting hospitals and rendering them unusable.
