The Higher Court in Užice has made a decision to annul the elections in Kosjerić, specifically at polling station 25 – Elan. The reason stated is that a voter cast a ballot who was not even registered in the voter list.
In the explanation and verdict of the Higher Court, which Nova had access to, it is stated that at the designated elections at polling station number 25, KJP “Elan” premises, voter Zdenka Josipović voted, who was not registered in the extract from the voter list at that polling station, in which she signed legibly and clearly under serial number 227 instead of Melentijević (Petronija) Jasmina.
In the verdict of the Higher Court, based on what was presented, it was concluded that at the polling station in question, there is no basis to conclude that an irregularity was committed that would be a reason for adopting the objection and annulling the main voting at the polling station, and that the voting was conducted in all respects in accordance with the Law on Local Elections.
Voting is expected to be conducted within the next 10 days, with June 29, Sunday, being mentioned as the date.
We remind you that the coalition around the Serbian Progressive Party and the opposition “United for Kosjerić” are separated by only 51 votes.
According to the minutes, there are 434 people at this polling station, of whom 350 turned out for the elections. The ruling coalition won 125 votes, while “United for Kosjerić” won 220 votes at that polling station.
