The driver who caused the traffic accident at the corner of Takovska Street and 27. Marta has been arrested.
According to unofficial information, the man (28) stole a car in Borča. The accident occurred during a police chase, when the driver tried to escape from the police.
As “Blic” learns, the driver hit several vehicles, then got out of the car and started to flee on foot. The police caught and arrested him.
– That car crashed into a crowd of people, and then hit a container and other cars. I hear they were chasing some drug dealers. Several people were probably injured, because he crashed into the crowd – an eyewitness tells “Blic”.
According to initial unofficial information, three people were injured from one of the hit cars. Two children and one man sustained serious injuries.
Witnesses say that about 10 police vehicles participated in the chase at one point.
At one point, a tire on the vehicle burst, after which the driver lost control and hit several people. The car overturned at that time, and more than 30 police officers participated in getting the vehicle back on its wheels.
