A real drama is still unfolding in Smederevo, where a currently unknown younger man, unofficially learned to be a detainee, is threatening to jump from the building of the police station.
Strong police forces are at the scene, as well as firefighters-rescuers who have deployed a rescue air cushion in front of the facility. According to initial information, several police officers are on the roof of the building with the man, among whom are members of the MUP negotiation team, who are trying to convince him to give up on this intention.
-Everything is full of police, firefighters have deployed the cushion, and people are stopping and watching what is happening. On the roof are police officers who are talking to him and trying to calm him down – says one of the passersby who happened to be near the police station for RINA.
For now, it is not known under what circumstances the man reached the roof of the police station building.
The drama is still ongoing, and more information will be known after the end of the intervention.
