Three activists from Novi Sad, who were accused of an alleged attempt to overthrow the constitutional order, have been released from prison custody and placed under house arrest with electronic surveillance, N1 confirmed.

These are activists Mladen Cvijetić, Srđan Đurić, and Davor Stefanović from the Movement of Free Citizens.

Six activists from the Movement of Free Citizens and the organization Students Against Authoritarian Rule (STAV) had been in custody for over two months, accused of attempting to overthrow the constitutional order due to allegedly planning to storm the Serbian Parliament and Radio Television of Serbia. However, the Appellate Court in Novi Sad earlier this month replaced the detention for the first three activists with house arrest, while the decision regarding Cvijetić, Đurić, and Stefanović was sent back for reconsideration.
