The best Serbian athlete when it comes to running disciplines, Elzan Bibić, broke the Serbian record, which was seventeen years old, at the “Gevgelija Run” race in North Macedonia. He defeated the competitors and took first place with a time of 28:45.

Elzan Bibić thus broke the best result in the 10-kilometer road discipline, which Mirko Petrović set back in 2008, and thus reached a double-digit number of national records in the senior competition.

In the open stadium, Bibić holds records for 1,500, 2,000, 3,000, and 5,000 meters, while indoors he broke records for 1,500, the mile, and 3,000 meters. When we add the records in cross country and road running, Elzan is at a double-digit number of the best results in Serbia.

In Gevgelija, he was better than the Moroccan Mohamed El Ghazouany and the Kenyan Hilary Kiptum Maiyo Kimaiyo, who also finished on the podium. 434 runners participated in this race.
