In Serbia, everyone is still asking who will be on coach Svetislav Pešić’s roster for the upcoming European Championship, and speculation continues. As expected, the biggest buzz is around Nikola Jokic, the three-time NBA MVP and one of the best players of the 21st century.

The Serbian center has not officially announced that he will play for the national team in Latvia, but he also hasn’t, as he sometimes did for previous gatherings, stated that he would not. Speculation emerges daily, and now Ivan Sideri, who works for “Forbes” and covers the NBA, has written a message that has fueled Serbian expectations of seeing Jokic in the national jersey once again.

“Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Luka Doncic will play for their national teams at the upcoming European Championship,” Sideri briefly wrote alongside a promotional video.

It’s unclear whether American media already know something that is still being speculated about in Serbia, but we will find out very soon. The European Championship is scheduled from August 27 to September 14, and the Serbian national team will gather soon to begin preparations.
