At Đački Trg in Kragujevac, citizens began gathering today before setting off on a protest march in support of bus operator Milomir Jaćimović, who is on hunger strike in Novi Sad.
The protest march through the city’s central streets, ending at the main Bus Station, was called for by the seniors of the First Kragujevac Gymnasium.
Bus operator Milomir Jaćimović has been on hunger strike in front of the Vojvodina Government building in Novi Sad, demanding the return of all his confiscated buses and the annulment of multimillion-dinar fines.
Jaćimović is one of the rare bus operators who transported students to protests across Serbia free of charge after the roof structure of the Novi Sad Railway Station collapsed on November 1 last year, killing 16 people.
